Veterinary assistants

We are always glad to receive resumes for our veterinary assistant or technician positions. Desired skills include hard working ethics (days can be long if on call), 3 days per week availability including occasional weekends (for full-time positions), good horse handling skills, ability to learn at a fast pace how to operate equipments, drug names and general doctor assisting skills, ability to follow directions and multi-task in a smooth manner, good disposition with clients and being a team oriented person that can work well with all staff members! Preceptor/Externships

Northwest Equine Veterinary Associates has been offering learning opportunities to veterinary students from Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and others Schools for many years. Students are exposed to all areas of equine preventative care, sports medicine, internal medicine and equine reproduction. Northwest Equine has been involved in the practical training of Veterinary Technology students from the Pierce College in WA for the past several. If you are a prospective veterinary technician interested in an applied equine experience please contact Carol Bedier as indicated above.
