What types of veterinary services does Northwest Equine provide?
We provide general care such as vaccines and dental floats, Sports Medicine exams, diagnostics, and treatments, Endoscopy and Gastroscopy, Castration, and limited Reproduction services.
Can I get a veterinarian out today for an equine emergency?
We provide 24/7 emergency care for our current clients throughout King County. During busy times, emergency care may not be available for non-established clientele.
Do you offer emergency colic surgery?
We are a 100% ambulatory practice and do not have a hospital to see patients, therefore we are unable to do colic surgery. We refer most colic surgeries to Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital in Snohomish.
What qualifies as an equine emergency?
If your horse is in significant pain, can't breathe normally, can't stand/walk normally, is bleeding substantially, has a serious wound, is choking, is showing colic signs, or has suddenly become neurologically abnormal, call the veterinarian to triage and potentially seek emergency care.
